More information on our Service Fee

More information on our Service Fee

At RaceShare we have made our service fees extremely competitive. Across our five horses, the service fee averages out at 27.9% of the share price. Following a review, we believe this is the one of the lowest, if not the lowest, cost percentage within the microsyndicate sector. To keep costs down the investors have agreed for the underlying business to run at a loss for at least the first year and very probably beyond that.

Running RaceShare involves plenty of costs. We need staff to run the business, provide customer services and organise and attend racedays, stable visits, etc. There are IT costs in running a website and back-office system. Then there are the costs in providing RaceShare TV, both equipment and personnel. There are professional fees, such as accountants and solicitors.

One or two people have also asked about the promotion of RaceShare. There needs to be some advertising. And there are some well-known faces like Oli Bell, who will help to promote RaceShare as well as attending events and producing great content about our horses. This does contribute to the service fee, but that is inescapable. Without a plan to promote RaceShare, the number of customers would never get out of the hundreds and that would require each share to cost hundreds of pounds.

All in all, we feel that RaceShare offers an excellent deal to someone who wants to become an owner at a low price, and we look forward to sharing the future with many of you.
