New Bay x Casimia
- Sire: New Bay Dam: Casimia
Our latest 100 share syndicate is for this stunning two-year-old colt by New Bay colt out of Casimia. He is a strong and athletic individual bought by renowned bloodstock investor Patrick Veitch at the Tattersalls December Yearling Sale (lot 31) for 55,000 guineas. Breeders Ballylinch Stud were extremely keen to keep a third share in him and so we have 66 x 1% shares available.
This colt is by New Bay, who has made an exceptional start to his stallion career, siring the likes of Bay Bridge, Saffron Beach and Bayside Boy. He is operating at a 51% winners to runners ratio on turf, with one of the world’s leading sires Frankel not far ahead at 57%.
This colt’s dam Casimia was bred by Ballylinch, one of the leading studs in the UK and Ireland, and the dam’s side of this pedigree is full of black-type, with the likes of Gr.1 winner Al Wukair and Gr.3 winner Antonia De Vega under the second dam. Casimia is by Siyouni, who has an excellent record as damsire, including the unbeaten Zeus Olympios, Gr.1 winner Zavateri, plus Gr.2 winners Erevann and Marvelman.
RaceShare's buying is led by Patrick Veitch, who has an outstanding record purchasing bloodstock, not just for RaceShare with the likes of Scampi, Treasure Time and Gibbs Island, but also with his recent purchases of top class Group horses like Venetian Sun, Sky Majesty, Lake Forest and Santorini Star.
Patrick has bought only two yearlings for RaceShare prior to this year’s two-year-olds: Treasure Time, who won at the York Ebor meeting, and Breathe Easy, who won impressively in a recent Kempton maiden and has an exciting year ahead of him.
We are delighted to announce our new addition to the RaceShare training roster, Ralph Beckett, who is one of the country’s leading, Classic-winning trainers. He has been responsible for the likes of Gr.1 winners Bluestocking, Westover, You Got To Me, Talent, Simple Verse, and many more.
This is a 100 share syndicate in partnership with the colt's breeder, Ballylinch Stud, who retain one third.
The remaining 66 shares (with the other 0.67% retained by RaceShare) will be sold at an initial share price of £780, including the purchase price of the horse at £578 per share, plus all costs to April 30, 2026.
There will be an ongoing monthly payment of £63, payable by direct debit (reductions available for multiple shares - see our cost breakdown below for full details).
