Yes I'm Mali

Yes I’m Mali is a four-year-old gelding by Sands Of Mali, bought for 22,000gns at the Tattersalls Horses-in-Training Sale in October (Lot 182) by renowned racing investor Patrick Veitch, who was extremely keen on him as he feels that he is one of the best handicapped horses in training. He's an ideal type for somebody who wants regular action on the racecourse, but also decent prospects of attending quality meetings as an owner.

A very dark bay - almost black - individual, he’s a striking looker who really catches the eye. He has already made considerable physical progress since arriving from the sales and looks the type to thrive from three to four.

He was previously trained by Richard Fahey and heads into training with David O'Meara, who is a new addition to the RaceShare training roster. He has a long standing reputation as one of the country's shrewdest handlers and we are very excited to have him on board. David has an outstanding record for improving horses from other yards, with wins right up to Group 1 level (such as Lord Glitters and Suedois) and the likes of Custom Cut, who went on to win multiple Group races having joined David with a rating of 73.

Yes I’m Mali has three wins, two seconds and two thirds from 18 races so far. He was victorious on his racecourse debut at two and added to that on his second nursery handicap start at the 2024 York Ebor Festival.

When last seen, he was third at Newcastle - beaten half a length - and we have little doubt that he would have won, but for being snatched up in the final half a furlong, when staying on best of all between horses. We are confident he is a very well-handicapped individual.

This is a 40 share syndicate, with an initial share price of £1,138, including the purchase price of the horse at £577.50 per share, plus all costs to April 30th, 2026. From that date, there will be 15 monthly payments of £112 payable by direct debit (reductions available for multiple shares - see our website for a full breakdown) until June 30th, 2027.
