Our First Yearling Purchase of 2026

We are pleased to announce our first yearling purchase of 2026, a filly by young sire Hello Youmzain who will be trained by Karl Burke.

The filly was purchased by Karl for €45,000 at the Tattersalls Ireland September Yearling Sale, with Karl retaining a 25% share. She is being offered as part of a new 100-share syndicate.

We were keen to have a horse with Karl and this filly came out particularly strongly on Patrick Veitch’s algorithm, with an almost maximum compatibility rating between her sire and dam.

Pedigree

Her sire, Hello Youmzain, was a dual Group 1 winner, winning the Diamond Jubilee Stakes at Royal Ascot and the Haydock Sprint Cup. He is still a relatively young sire, with his oldest crop now four, but has already been responsible for a number of Group winners.

The filly is the first foal out of Gloria F, a dual winner, and her second dam is Speronella, who has produced seven winners from her first seven foals.
Among Speronella’s progeny is Group 3 winner Thunderbear, while Listed-placed Atena Acquaviva is another notable performer from the family.

There is plenty of black type further back in the pedigree, including Group 3 winner and Group 1-placed Rosinka, Group 2 winner Move Up and Group 1 winner King’s Drama. Group 1 winners Nightime and Ghaiyyath also feature within the wider family.

Karl Burke

Karl Burke has established himself among the leading trainers in Britain, with a record that includes Group 1 winners Quiet Reflection, Laurens, Havana Grey, Unfortunately and El Caballo.

More recently, his yard has enjoyed further success at Pattern level with horses including Fallen Angel, Venetian Sun (bought by Patrick Veitch) and Royal Champion.
