Undiscovered Set for Group 3 Assignment

Our Ralph Beckett-trained son of New Bay, Undiscovered, is set for his next assignment in the Group 3 Somerville Tattersalls Stakes at Newmarket tomorrow at 3pm.

This will be his fifth start in the RaceShare silks, and as a son of New Bay, there is plenty of encouragement in his pedigree that he can continue to improve with his racing.

The current ground at Newmarket is on the quicker side, which will suit him well. He ran much better off a mark of 93 in a nursery last time, so we look forward to seeing how he gets on.

The second of our two-year-olds to run this year was Cornichon, who made his debut at Newbury last week. It was a very promising start from him, as he was the winner on the “wrong side” in a hot maiden, with the winner and second racing alone in the favoured middle of the track. He has shown a fantastic temperament both at home and on the track, and we’re looking forward to seeing where trainer Roger Varian points him next.

Criminal Shore has been declared for Newcastle on Friday. He needs things to drop right with a strong pace to aim at, but if the race unfolds to suit him, we’ll be hopeful of a decent showing.

The highly consistent Yes I’m Mali has the option to head back to the scene of his most recent course-and-distance victory at Ripon on Saturday. He’s shown an incredible constitution for racing this season, and if declared, this would be his fourteenth start for his owners, who have enjoyed plenty of memorable days with him this year.
