Our attention this week turns to two-year-old Undiscovered, who heads to Doncaster for the St Leger meeting. Trainer Ralph Beckett has been impressed with his work at home, and many will remember him for his impressive debut victory at Salisbury, which he followed up with another commanding win under a penalty at the same venue. The big-race atmosphere may have proved a little much for him at Glorious Goodwood, but we’re hopeful he can get back to the form he showed earlier in the season and continue on an upward trajectory.

Shortly after Undiscovered’s race, Wild Dahlia lines up at Epsom for the first time, with Cieren Fallon booked to ride. She was unable to build on her highly promising reappearance at Hamilton, appearing not to act on the slower ground, but we have a master trainer in William Haggas, who will hopefully be able to get her back to the form she showed as a two-year-old.

Yes I’m Mali’s next assignment could come at Doncaster on Sunday, where he has a couple of options. Fresh off the back of a win at Thirsk last time out, having also produced a career-best effort at Ripon a few days earlier, we’re looking forward to seeing him no doubt put in another gutsy performance.
