Golden Maverick lands £30k Juvenile Hurdle Final!

We have not quite returned from cloud nine yet, after Golden Maverick landed a £30k handicap at Musselburgh last Friday!

This Class 2 event was the Grey Bomber Juvenile Handicap Hurdle Final, a race he qualified for when winning at Ludlow 16 days earlier. There were eight runners and three of them had run at the Cheltenham Festival, with Golden Maverick the well-supported favourite.

Despite looking unhappy on the turn for home, with a few lengths to make up on the leaders, he began to stay on eye-catchingly. Entering the home straight, he really began to lengthen in the conditions, circling runners and taking up the lead. He stayed on powerfully to record a two and a quarter length victory, with his 25 or so owners on track and many more watching from home, in raptures as he recorded back-to-back wins and his biggest of his career to date.

Golden Maverick is now a seven-time winner, five on the Flat and two over Jumps, from only 19 races under both codes. He is such a fun horse to be involved with and there are reasons to believe he can go on improving, so why not become an owner if you aren't already? Shares are available for £58, all inclusive.
