Wild Dahlia and Red Mirage targeting Saturday prizes
Wild Dahlia and Red Mirage will be on the track tomorrow in the RaceShare silks, hoping to give owners a Saturday to remember.
Wild Dahlia has only run once to date, when she was a very encouraging third at Newmarket three weeks ago. She heads to Chester tomorrow for a 7f maiden, where she receives a sex allowance as a filly. William Haggas’s horses tend to improve for their debuts, so we are very hopeful she can put in a good performance.
Red Mirage has been in great heart this summer and he travels to Musselburgh for his seventh start of the year. Since winning at Doncaster in July, he has finished third twice in very different conditions- on the all-weather at Kempton and then on good ground at Carlisle, where he would have ideally been suited by softer. He has never run at Musselburgh, but has been to Scotland and ran at Ayr twice this year, so it’s another trip north of his Malton home for this assignment. Here’s hoping he remains in good form and can put in another bold showing.
