The countdown to Gibbs Island’s Triumph Hurdle tilt commences!

Wednesday 05 March 2025

This time next week the racing world will be in the midst of Cheltenham Festival fever, but everyone involved in RaceShare will have their attention firmly fixed on Friday’s action- with Gibbs Island lining up in the Triumph Hurdle! The race is the opener on Gold Cup day, so it’s one of - if not the most - prestigious days in the Jumps racing calendar.

He has been a dream to own so far for his syndicate owners, with two wins from as many runs, the latest in the well regarded Victor Ludorum Juvenile Hurdle at Haydock - a Class 2 race - where he blew the field apart, despite doing plenty wrong in the early parts of the race. That victory came after a protracted duel at Sedgefield on his debut over timber, with the horse he beat coasting home in her next race.

It is now all systems go for the JCB Triumph Hurdle, and despite the two at the top of the market holding strong claims, Gibbs Island owners are dreaming of what could be- with the competition for a place wide open!

Over 200 owners will be heading to Prestbury Park to support him, which is amazing support.
