Red Mirage, a RaceShare owner favourite having been part of the team since launch in 2022, repaid his loyal and loving owners with a win at Doncaster yesterday. The Autism In Racing At Doncaster Today Handicap saw 11 runners go to post, and with odds of 14/1, the victory came as a slight surprise, especially as it was Big Red’s first win since April 2024 for trainers John and Sean Quinn.

His regular jockey Jason Hart gave him a beautifully judged ride, keeping him handy in a pocket just behind the leaders, then producing him late to pounce just a few strides from the line.

Jason said: 'He was a relatively well handicapped horse and he showed a really good attitude there.'

Hopefully, Red Mirage can now sustain a run of good form and, with the win being off a mark of 71, 6lbs below the rating he won off last year, it's certainly possible that he will have scope to win again.
