January action begins to unfold!
Following the abandonment of Chepstow's meeting on Sunday, which put paid to Golden Maverick being our first runner of 2025, it hasn't taken long to be able to look ahead to our first runners of the new year.
Lir Speciale - our syndicate horse in partnership with Racing TV - looks to get us off to a good start as he heads to Wolverhampton for the 7pm tomorrow night. It's a 6f handicap and an open contest, at a course he has run well at before. The six-year-old hasn't run since September, but he returns from a break and has a visor on for the first time, so we are hopeful he can put up a good performance. His Racing TV members, who all own a free share in the horse as an additional benefit of their subscription, will no doubt be cheering him on once again!
The following evening, Robusto is also all-weather bound as he heads to Kempton. Similarly to Lir, he returns from a break and carries top weight in this two mile handicap, so he is expected to improve for the run. But it will be great to see him back in action over a course and distance he won over back in June for his owners.
Hopefully both horses have long and successful seasons ahead of them and it will be great to get them started for the year over the next couple of days!
