Golden Maverick aiming for £100k Sandown handicap!

Golden Maverick was last seen winning a £30k novices' handicap hurdle final at Musselburgh earlier this month, following up his debut hurdling win at Haydock in March. He won it in good style and seems to be a horse who’s very much on the up - the long journey was certainly worthwhile! The following day, he was welcomed home by over 150 of his owners at Folly House in Lambourn, as we had a stable visit to see him at home! That was perfect timing and those lucky owners had a great afternoon showing him all the love he deserved.

Having thrived since Musselburgh, Golden Maverick is on target for the £100,000 Novices' Handicap Hurdle Final at Sandown on April 27th, the final day of the National Hunt season! It’s a tremendous day out, including ceremonies to crown the Champion Jockey, Owner, Trainer, and Horse of the Year. The Champion Trainer title is the closest that it’s been in years, with an incredible three-way fight between Willie Mullins, Paul Nicholls & Dan Skelton, so expect plenty of quality runners from these yards.
