Buccabay impresses, plus Undiscovered has a Group 2 target in his sights
Buccabay returned to the racecourse in fine form at Windsor on Monday evening for his new 100-share syndicate, finishing a close third. It was an encouraging performance and he should come on plenty for it. There will be lots of opportunities for him on the turf this summer, before switching back to the all-weather - where he won in December at Kempton - later in the year.
The ever-popular Red Mirage heads to Southwell this afternoon (4.53pm). He’s in good form following his last run at Chester, where the sticky ground may not have suited him, so let’s see how he fares on his first visit to the track.
Yes I’m Mali returns to the Knavesmire on Saturday for the £100,000 6f handicap (2pm). He provided his owners with yet another memorable day at Newmarket's July Course last week, where he was beaten by the narrowest of margins in a photo finish to come home in second.
Undiscovered holds an entry for Tuesday's £200,000 Vintage Stakes at Glorious Goodwood. This will be a step up into Group 2 company following his impressive victory under a penalty at Salisbury, which made it two wins from his first two career starts. We're really looking forward to seeing how he measures up against some of the best two-year-olds in training.
