Ann Terry wins at Leicester!
Despite only 3 runners, she was the outsider against two other fillies who boasted excellent recent form.
Although the hot favourite, Fleetwater, stumbled briefly inside the final furlong, she was clearly beaten at the time, and it clearly didn’t affect the result with Ann Terry absolutely hosing up to win by 5 lengths, despite being eased down at the line.
It's also tremendous that she collected a GB Bonus for her win, boosting the owner's prize money by £13,500!
What’s most exciting of all is that everything in Ann Terry’s pedigree speaks of further improvement as she gets older. Her sire, Mohaather, improved significantly from two to three, and then again as a four-year-old, and her dam, Ouevre D’Art stepped up considerably as a three-year-old from her juvenile campaign.
She will be given a winter break now, but her owners will be full of anticipation for next season. Now proven with cut in the ground, it's likely that she will kick off early in 2025 to take advantage of the softer going in the spring.
