This week we saw a RaceShare duel in the final race on the card at Gosforth Park on Tuesday. Both horses put in solid performances but ultimately it was Criminal Shore who edged the RaceShare battle, finishing a respectable fourth. The pace was a lot slower than we’d have ideally liked for our RaceShare runners but we’re confident that both horses are well within reach of a great result soon when circumstances are more in their favour.

Yes I’m Mali headed to the £75,000 6f handicap on Lockinge Day at Newbury, one of the most celebrated fixtures on the British Flat calendar. It was fantastic to have a runner on such a prestigious card. This was a serious step up in grade for YIM who ran very well considering the track bias, which appeared to count against him. He looks a great prospect for his owners in sprint handicaps this season and, after proving himself at Thirsk, he looks like a horse with more winning days ahead of him.

Following on from that effort, Yes I’m Mali’s owners may not have long to wait to see him back in action as he has an entry at York this weekend, in the 1.30pm race, a 0-80 handicap over 6 furlongs. If he is declared for a quick turnaround, we are all hoping he can build on his recent form. So fingers crossed and good luck to his owners!

Robusto switches to the turf this weekend at Salisbury, following on from his return to winning ways at Wolverhampton last time out. He heads to Salisbury in the 8.45pm a 0-80 handicap over 1m 4f, which is the same course and distance where he recorded the first victory of his career as a three-year-old. He’s reunited with jockey Harry Vigors, who has already got a good tune out of him.
