Criminal Shore goes to post in the opening race on the card at York, off the back of his impressive victory at Newcastle last week. He often needs things to drop right with a strong pace to aim at and he should get that in this big field up in grade, but he does need to prove himself at this level. We look forward to seeing how he fares on his first visit to the Knavesmire.

The ever-popular Red Mirage returns to Chester later this afternoon, a track he enjoys. He has won over this course and distance before and has since produced a number of solid performances there. You may remember that Criminal Shore and Red Mirage went head-to-head at Newcastle recently, with Criminal Shore finishing just ahead of Big Red. He is generally a reliable performer and hopefully he can put it all together this afternoon.

Tomorrow, Yes I’m Mali continues a busy recent period with a return to York for the 5.25pm. He has made a big impact since joining RaceShare and has proved a very shrewd purchase for just 22,000gns last autumn. He won at Thirsk in April and been consistent since including over this course and distance, so fingers crossed
