Goken x Peligrosa colt

We are delighted to announce our 2026 breeze-up purchase, a colt by the underrated sire, Goken, who will go into training with Roger Varian for a new 100 share syndicate. He was bought for 85,000 guineas at the Tattersalls Guineas Breeze-Up (lot 236) last week by renowned bloodstock investor, Patrick Veitch.

This colt did a very impressive breeze (please see the Gallery below to watch it) and has a pedigree full of black-type. Roger felt that he would make a two-year-old this year, as well as having the size and scope to go on next season and beyond.

His young sire has done very well so far at stud - despite a rather low quality book of mares - producing numerous classy horses with Racing Post Ratings up to 113, led by Go Athletico, and we believe he is on the rise as a stallion.

The dam Peligrosa was unraced, but she is by the late Acclamation, who is a classy broodmare sire responsible for multiple Group winners, including Diego Velazquez at the highest level. Peligrosa has produced two winners from two runners to date, including Pelinia, by Golden Horn, who won twice at two and was fourth in a Listed race. Her other progeny Peligroso, by Zarak, has won once so far this year, competing at Class 2 level in France with more to come and both of those foals show that the mare has made a highly promising start to her paddock career.

This colt will be trained by Roger Varian, who needs little introduction as one of the country’s finest trainers. In recent years, he has been responsible for the likes of Group 1 winners Charyn, Bayside Boy, Eldar Eldarov and King Of Steel, among many others, and Roger has shown the utmost professionalism and quality of updates with our other RaceShare horse, The Lost Sock, in partnership with Racing TV.

The Costs

This is a 100 share syndicate with an initial share price of £974, including the purchase price of the horse at £884 per share, plus all costs to June 30, 2026.

There will be a monthly payment of £67, with an initial commitment to November 30, 2027, payable by direct debit (reductions available for multiple shares - see below for a full breakdown).

What do the monthly fees cover?

All training, veterinary, transport & racing (entries, jockey & VAT services) costs, plus RaceShare’s service fee for the management of the syndicate, with no hidden or additional charges.
