La Pulga won his first race for RaceShare in June at Hamilton, when romping clear of his three rivals to land the spoils over 1m 5f. Four days later, he proved what great form he was in by finishing a very close second under a penalty at Pontefract, beaten only a head when looking sure to follow-up with another victory in an agonising finish. After that, he earned a shot at some lucrative prizes at some top meetings, including Glorious Goodwood and the York Ebor meeting, before making his all-weather debut at Newcastle in October, where he produced a huge effort to finish second. He split the two favourites on that occasion, with the third horse behind him fetching 150,000 guineas at the sales later that month. With that run proving his liking for the all-weather surface, La Pulga now has a whole host of options available to him this year and beyond.
